The Police First Information report says that Taiwo, who lives at 12 SOJ Street in the Sawmill area of Ilorin, was stopped and searched at the NASFAT checking point on Ilorin-Ogbomoso Road. He was found with charms and ladies’ pants, the report says.

Two female pants that he had been wearing were found on him when the police searched him once more at their station. He was also found to have some charms, including alligator pepper, a ram’s horn, and black sand inside nylon.

The report says that Olatunji admitted that he stole those pants from a rope in the Eiyenkorin area of Ilorin, where they were being dried, and that he wanted to use the materials for rituals.

In the report, the police also said that Olatunji tried to get away from their station at Budo Nuhu, which is next to Ilorin International Airport. There, he was lawfully detained in order to avoid being put in jail before being re-arrested.

Ayeni Gbenga, the prosecutor, presented the motion ex parte attached to the police report to the court and requested that it grant the motion’s remand request.

The prosecutor’s request was granted by Mr. Kamson Gbadeyan, the Presiding Magistrate, who ordered the accused to remain in the Federal Correctional Facility in Mandala, Ilorin, until the next day of adjournment.

The hearing of the case was postponed until March 20, 2023.
