Thugs attack a voting location in Lagos, shoot people, and destroy election materials

Political thugs have broken into a polling place at Agboola Obisanya Junction in the Mafoluku area of Lagos State as Nigerians elect their new leader today.

According to XANDERTECH, the criminals set fire to everything the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) owned and destroyed.

Additionally, they drove voters out of community polling places.

Lawal Adeojo, a Mafoluku resident, claims that the criminals began sporadic shootings shortly after noon today (Saturday).

I witnessed people fleeing. Adeojo stated, “Many are now afraid to go out to vote and get accreditation.”

As of the time this report was published, Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Lagos State police command, did not respond to calls or text messages requesting comments regarding the incident.
