According to Jos Electricity Distribution Company, a nationwide grid outage is to blame for the load shedding that is occurring in the states of Bauchi, Benue, Plateau, and Gombe on Thursday.
Additionally, it stated that its daily allotment has decreased to between 75 and 78 megawatts.
Dr. Friday Adakole Elijah, the head of JED’s corporate communications, revealed this in Jos, the capital of the Plateau State.
You could have noticed load shedding during the past few days, he said. This resulted from the national grid’s poor power supply allotment.
He stated, “For our four franchise states of Bauchi, Benue, Plateau, and Gombe, our daily allocation during this time was reduced to between 75 and 78 megawatts.
Accordingly, we had to start load shedding consumers in all of our operational areas while we waited for the national grid’s supply to increase.
“We kindly request that you not give up as we hope to provide you with full supply as the situation returns to normal.”
